Mutton aab gosht is a delicious and spicy dish made with mutton or beef, onions, tomatoes, and a blend of aromatic spices. Here is a recipe to make Aab gosht:
INGREDIENTS:
- 500g mutton or beef, cut into small pieces
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 4-5 green chillies, slit
- 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 4 tbsp oil
- 2 cups water
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds. Sauté for a few seconds until fragrant.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Add chopped tomatoes, green chillies, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 5-6 minutes until the tomatoes are softened.
- Add the mutton or beef pieces and mix well with the spice mixture. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the meat is slightly browned.
- Add 2 cups of water and mix well. Close the pressure cooker and cook for 20-25 minutes until the meat is tender.
- Turn off the heat and let the pressure release naturally.
- Open the pressure cooker and sprinkle garam masala powder over the Aab gosht. Mix well.
- Serve hot with rice or naan.
