INGREDIENTS
- 500g lamb meat, cut into cubes
- 1 cup chopped fresh methi leaves (fenugreek leaves)
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 2-3 green chilies, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- Water, as required
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a pressure cooker, heat oil and add onions. Fry them until they turn golden brown.
- Add ginger paste and garlic, and fry for another 2 minutes.
- Add the lamb cubes and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the meat is browned.
- Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to the meat. Mix well.
- Add chopped methi leaves and green chilies, and stir for a few minutes.
- Add water to the cooker and pressure cook the lamb until it is fully cooked and tender.
- Once the meat is cooked, remove the pressure cooker from the heat and let the pressure release.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or naan.
