Homemade Hamburger Recipe.
How to make Hamburger
Here is a simple recipe for making hamburgers at home:
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pound of ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)
- Salt and pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, etc.)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.
- Use your thumb to make a small indentation in the center of each patty. This will help prevent the burger from puffing up in the middle as it cooks.
- Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.
- Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
- Once the patties are cooked, place them on the bottom half of each bun. Add your desired toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese.
- Top the burgers with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
